Teachers Federal Credit Union is offering competitive money market rates to its members. The more you deposit into your money market account, the higher your interest rate will be.
The following balances earn the money market rate indicated:
- $2,500 - $24,999: 1.20% APY
- $25,000 - $49,999: 1.45% APY
- $50,000 - $99,999: 1.55% APY
- $100,000 - $249,999: 1.60% APY
- $250,000 - $499,999: 1.76% APY
- $500,000 or more: 1.86% APY
A minimum balance of $2,500 must be maintained.

How to Open a Money Market Account
If you are not a member of the Teachers Federal Credit Union, you can quickly check your eligibility and sign up to become a member.
If you are currently a member, you can open a money market account one of three ways:
- Visit one of the branch locations
- Call TFCU's Loan Information Call Center at (631) 698-7000 ext. 6780, or
- If you have an Online Banking PIN, you can add accounts online.
Just sign on, click ACCOUNTS, and then click Open New Account to open the Tiered Money Market Account
Teachers Federal Credit Union is NCUA insured and your deposits are covered up to $250,000.
