Danversbank, a community bank based in Massachusetts, has a deal on its Free Rewards Checking account. It's a high yield checking account crediting up to 4.01% APY. As a rewards checking account, you need to meet the terms of the promotion to get the following features:

  • 4.01% APY on balances up to $25,000
  • 0.25% APY on the portion of balances over $25,000
  • Refund of ATM fees

In order to receive the rewards rate and ATM fee refunds, simply do the following each cycle:

  • Use the Danversbank Mastercard Debit Card a minimum of 12 times (excludes ATM based transactions)
  • Elect to receive free e-statements
  • Access Online Banking
  • Set up at least one direct deposit or recurring ACH

If the promotion terms are not met, you can try again next month. Meanwhile, you'll still enjoy these features:

There is a minimum deposit requirement of $100 to open the account. Use the Free Rewards Checking online application to open an account. After it's open, there is no minimum balance to maintain.
